LEFT-HANDERS EDUCATION FORUM AND TRAINING INTERNATIONAL NETWORK

Projects

The education of left-handed children involves parents, schools, teachers and policymakers to ensure the needs of the child’s natural handedness are supported and developed .  The skills learned at school are carried throughout our lives and have an impact on the individual as well as the greater society as a whole.

At LEFT-IN, we are working toward inclusion and acceptance of all left-handers.  Over time, these children will help to eliminate the discrimination of a large silent minority.

Our current activities include:

  • Sharing information at conferences and education days
  • Creation of resource materials for teachers and schools
  • Working with education departments to enshrine left-handedness in policy
  • Working with universities to improve teacher training on handedness issues in the classroom

Updates will show in our News section and throughout the website.
