Australia 2010 – Steve McGuirk
Australian study shows more lefties need special education in our schools.
In July 2010, the Lefty’s Resource Centre conducted a brief study of 34 primary schools to look at the predominance of left-handers in special education classes.
From over 12,300 students in the survey population, 10.1% were left-handed. Of the 1562 students with special education needs, 14.7% were left-handed. This validates the general belief that lefties are over-represented in both ends of the spectrum: the gifted and those needing assistance.
